Castelo de Blarney/Blarney Castle

Este é o Castelo de Blarney, antes dessa construçao de pedra (construída em 1210 d.c) houveram duas construçoes de madeira, sendo a mais antiga datada do século 10.

This is the Blarney Castle, it is the third one to have been erected on this site. The first building in the tenth century was a wooden structure and around 1210 A.D. this was replaced by the stone structure.

The legend says that the gift of gab will be given to those who kiss the Blarney Stone located on the top of the castle...so here I go.

Esta estrada leva ao jardim do castelo, o jardim em sí nao é lá muuuuuuito legal nao, mas vale a visita.

Esta é a única das muralhas que cercavam o castelo que ainda está em pé, elas serviam de proteçao em caso de ataque.

This is the last of the great walls which once surrounded the castle, they worked as a shield in case of battles.

Bom gente vou começar pelo lugar que considero o mais bonito que vi por aqui (confesso que não vi muitos ainda). Este é o castelo de Dublin, quando você entra num lugar desse você não consegue parar de pensar no contexto historico do lugar, no tanto de gente que já viveu e morreu ali e que não mentiam quando te ensinavam que reis,rainhas e cavaleiros realmente existiam(ainda existem eu sei, só estou tentando ser dramático hehe). O castelo foi fundado no ano de 1204 d.c para proteger a cidade contra invasões e logo depois serviu de base militar para os britânicos até meados do século 20. Bom, hoje em dia é um dos principais pontos turísticos da cidade então prepare-se pra enfrentar uma multidão de espanhóis com toda sua algazarra e canções em público ahahahhaahah



Well guys, today I will write about the most beautiful place I've visited here in Dublin (I haven't visited many actually hehe). This is Dublin's Castle, when you find yourself in a place like this, you can't help thinking about it's historical context, how many people lived and died there and that your teachers weren't lying when they told you kings and knights were real (they already exist I know, just trying to be a bit dramatic here hehe). The castle was founded in 1204 a.d to protect the city against foreign invasions and years later it was used for the English until early 20th century.
